Paulien Dubelaar joins KG Lab

We are pleased to announce that Paulien Dubelaar (1974) joins our LAB. Paulien deals with existential questions, such as: the meaning of life and death, how can we live a significant existence, who are we as humans? Where answers are not readily available, she tries to explore with her images: in greatness and insignificance, invulnerability and transience, in stillness and motion, in darkness and in light. She feels connected to the ideas of existentialist philosophers and uses them as inspiration in her photographic oeuvre. Paulien graduated from the Amsterdam Photo Academy in December 2023.

LUUK DE HAAN JOINS the gallery

We’re proud to announce our collaboration with Luuk de Haan. A contemporary artist who pushes the boundaries of the medium of photography further. De Haan’s titles often make indirect references to narrative or figurative content that provide clues to the potential for a metaphorical reading of his essentially abstract works. His series refer very directly to objects in the real world and thus directs us toward a very particular understanding of the meaning of the images.

Photographing digitally manipulated on-screen slideshow images of lines of varying degrees of brightness and tonal intensity is De Haan’s unique technique.

Chantal convertini joins the LAB

With great pleasure, we announce the cooperation with young talented photographer Chantal Convertini. Chantal (1992 Schaffhausen, Switzerland) is a photographer and artist working and living in Basel. With a huge passion for film photography, she points her camera mostly at herself, sometimes at others too.

Her work has been published in several magazines, online and in print and also shown in several group exhibitions in Basel, Zurich, Paris, Milan and the US.

cooper seykens joins the LAB

Cooper Seykens (1991) joins the Kahmann Gallery LAB. Born and raised in The Netherlands he started his career at a young age. His journey began making black and white street portraits in his time traveling around the United States with his dad. All at the age of 17. The images that he captured during this trip were the ones that define the start of his career. By the age of 19, he decided to Study at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague.

His style is characteristic of always empowering the subject by exposing their true beauty and essence.

Sam Warnaar JOINS the LAB

Sam Warnaar (2000) is an autonomous Dutch photographer who captures her fascination for the naked body and empty spaces in (self)portraits.
Photographing in the studio with a model led to her first experience with nude photography. She loved seeing the skin and how the body started telling a story. After a few years of intuitive photography, she realized, that her photography symbolized these emotions which triggered her search to be able to be alone and independent. Finding her identity in her work makes every photo a new self-portrait.

Gallery Fair Practice Code

book deliveries

Due to our temporary inability to access a fixed location and having most of our book inventory stored in our storage facilities, processing orders has become challenging. This applies not only to the books by our artists but also to the Fresh Eyes talent books, GUP Magazine, and The Real Photo Books series. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will notify you as soon as it becomes possible to resume shipping.
